Located just outside Kilrush, this beautifully restored garden is the last remanent of the old Vandeluer Estate which occupied the adjacent clearing in the woods.

Scattery Island is located just offshore from the town of Kilrush in the Shannon Estuary. The island was inhabited from early medieval times until the 1970's.
The island is rich in historical buildings including; a monastic round tower dating from the early medieval period, several medieval churches, a napoleonic gun battery and a collection of other buildings from across the ages. The rail line was immortalised in song by composer Percy French at the turn of the last century in the satirical song 'Are You Right There Michael Are You Right' which was composed by French as a result of a somewhat sluggish journey undertaken in 1896.
A ride on the railway's restored steam engine 'Slieve Callan' provides insight into the history of Irish rail and is a popular attraction for train enthusiasits.
Kilrush Golf Club is located just a half mile outside the town of Kilrush on the Ennis Road. The course offers a full 18 hole golf course designed by Dr. Arthur Spring in 1994 and cleverly incorporates the natural terrain and includes numerous spectacular and challenging holes. The course club house includes a bar and serves food.
